About the Creator & Inspiration

Hi, I'm Ranelle Johnson - the heart behind

 EduRotation Designs

I was born and raised in Modesto, California, and creativity has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I've been singing since I was five years old and began playing piano at seventeen. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in General Music from California State University, Stanislaus, and music continues to be one of my greatest joys.

I'm happily married (since December 30, 2018!) and a proud mom to two beautiful little ones - a curious 3½-year-old son and a joyful 19-month-old daughter. I'm currently a stay-at-home mom and online piano and voice teacher, which means life is full, busy, and wonderfully loud.

I come from a big family - seven siblings and fourteen nieces and nephews. My dad passed away in 2009, and I often think about how proud he would be of me for continuing to pursue music and the arts. That thought motivates me deeply.

I've always loved bright colors, playful patterns, coral and aqua hues, drawing portraits, baking, designing, and spending time with family and friends. Creativity has never just been a hobby for me - it's part of who I am.

How EduRotation Designs Began

EduRotation Designs started very simply - by creating fun coloring pages for my three-year-old son. He loves learning and is especially interested in sequencing patterns (counting, alphabet, months, days, colors, etc.)

As I was designing the coloring pages, I had a thought:

"What if these weren't just coloring pages… what if they were blankets?"

Then came to me. Rugs. Pillows. Wearable learning. Interactive pieces.

And just like that, an idea grew into a full educational store.

What Makes EduRotation Different?

Most of my designs feature information arranged in a rotation - oval, heart, or circular layouts that wrap around. Instead of traditional top-to-bottom posters, the learning surrounds you.

These rotating layouts are designed to be:

• Visually engaging

• Colorful and inviting

• Interactive and tactile

• Calming and grounding

• Fun to revisit again and again

These designs are especially helpful for:

• Preschool, kindergarten, elementary (and soon-to-be high school) teachers and students

• Special education teachers

• Speech pathologists

• Psychologists

• Music educators and students

• Homeschool families

• Lifetime learners

When the Rainbow Alphabet Pillow Found Its Purpose

One of my favorite moments so far was donating a Rainbow Alphabet Pillow to my son's preschool classroom. I later found out that a student on the spectrum sat with his teacher and gently followed the letters around the pillow with his finger during the class. It helped keep him calm and entertained. Then another student held the pillow during difficult transitions to carpet time. These were huge moments - my vision coming to life. The teacher said it helped both of them regulate and focus.

That meant everything to me.

If something I created can support learning and calm at the same time - that's the goal.

My mission is to make learning:

• Bright

• Interactive

• Beautiful

• Memorable

• Comforting

• Accessible

I believe education doesn't have to be flat and boring. It can wrap you in a blanket. It can feel like a soft squishy pillow. It can feel joyful, like a toddler squeezing a teddy bear. It can feel safe like a warm cup of coffee in a Bright Alphabet Mug.

And I'm just getting started.
